Ireland Day London, New York and Hong Kong

The inaugural Ireland Day London took place at London Stock Exchange on Wednesday, 17th April 2013. Ireland INC formally opened the market for the first Ireland Day London. This international business summit brought together business leaders to debate and discuss at the highest level the spirit of Irish/British partnership and trade, hosting more than 120 executives from leading firms.

The theme of Ireland Day London was to showcase Ireland’s unique trading relationship with Britain – with a view to fostering new opportunities on a global scale. Honourees for the Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Award included Baroness Detta O’Cathain and the Ireland Fund of Great Britain.

The third annual Ireland Day New York took place at the New York Stock Exchange on Friday, 15th April 2013.  Bringing together over 300 top executives, the New York Stock Exchange and Ireland INC aimed to promote Irish business interests in key global markets.

The theme of Ireland Day New York was to showcase Ireland’s economic recovery, including panels focusing on the US/Irish partnership and promoting Irish arts and culture on an international scale. Honourees for the Outstanding Contribution to Ireland Award included Senator George Mitchell and Wilbur L. Ross.
